What it does

Give it a long-form video — a podcast, stream, interview, lecture, or any talking-head footage — and it hands back a folder of vertical (1080x1920), ready-to-post clips for TikTok, Instagram Reels, or YouTube Shorts.

Instead of an AI-written script read by a synthetic voice (which tends to sound robotic and hurts viewer trust), every clip is captioned with the real transcript, timed word by word — it reads naturally because it is natural. No AI voice is generated or used anywhere in the pipeline.

This is the desktop version: a real Windows app with a window and buttons, not a script or a terminal. Install it, open it, pick your video, click "Generate clips" — nothing else to configure.

How it works

  1. Install — run the installer once. Everything the app needs (ffmpeg, the transcription engine) is bundled inside; there's nothing extra to install or configure.
  2. Transcribe — the video is transcribed locally on your own PC with word-level timestamps. Nothing is uploaded anywhere.
  3. Decide what becomes a clip — two modes:
    • Auto-split: the whole video is divided into clips sized to fit its length, trimming long silences between words for pacing — never deleting spoken words, so meaning is never altered.
    • Hand-picked: point it at the strongest few moments instead of the whole video. It can stitch several non-contiguous moments into one edited clip, like a real edit.
  4. Render — burns in word-synced captions, an optional on-screen hook/call-to-action, and an optional "punch-in" zoom on the closing line for emphasis. A progress bar and live log show exactly what's happening so the app never feels frozen on a long video.

Example

Input: a single ~33 minute recording. Output: 6 vertical clips (~4.5-5 minutes each), captions synced word-by-word to what's actually said, each ready to upload as-is.

FAQ

Does it use an AI voice? No — captions are the real transcript, not a script read by a synthetic voice.

Does it post to TikTok/Instagram/YouTube for me? No — it hands back finished .mp4 files in a folder; uploading stays a manual step on your own accounts.

What languages does it support? Transcribes in whatever language is spoken in the source (configurable). It does not translate — captions come out in the same language spoken in the video. The app's own interface is available in English and Spanish.

Does it check whether I have rights to the video? No — that's on you. Only use video you own or are licensed to use.

Do I need to install Python, ffmpeg, or anything else separately? No. Just run the installer — ffmpeg and every other dependency are already packaged inside the app. The one unavoidable one-time step is downloading the transcription model itself the first time you use the app; after that it's cached on your PC and never downloaded again.

Windows warns me the app is from an "unknown publisher" — is that safe? The app isn't digitally signed yet (that requires a separate paid certificate), so Windows SmartScreen may show a caution screen the first time you open it. Click "More info" → "Run anyway". This is normal for a new unsigned app, not a sign of a virus.

What OS does this run on? Windows 10/11 (64-bit) only. If you're on Mac or need a browser-based version instead, look for the Cloud edition of this Agent.

Is rendering instant? No — a clip built from many short cuts takes real time to render, since every cut is a separate seek+decode. Let a full video run in the background rather than expecting it to finish immediately.
