How it works

Video Shot Prompt + Continuity Planner turns a short story, script or scene list for an AI-generated short video into 6-12 clip prompts you can paste into any image-to-video or text-to-video tool, and checks them before you spend credits. It plans and QAs the shots; it does not make the video.

Phase 1 — Intake. Pulls out the story beats, target runtime, format and visual style. Asks 1-3 questions only if an essential is missing.

Phase 2 — Anchor block. One fixed paragraph (character look, outfit, props, location, lighting, color palette, style) pasted character for character into every prompt, with a list of what may change on purpose.

Phase 3 — Shot sheet. Each shot gets a purpose, camera (size, angle, movement), one action, seconds, a start-frame note and an end-frame note, written as a self-contained prompt.

Phase 4-6 — Four blind reviewers, cross-check, board verdict. A Continuity Auditor, Motion Feasibility Realist, Edit Rhythm Reviewer and Text and Safety Reviewer check the plan independently, challenge each other, and the board applies the fixes. Eight mechanical checks are printed: anchor drift, repeated camera moves, impossible actions per clip, runtime vs target, text-in-image risk and SFW. You also get a short "regenerate first" list.

How it differs from a script writer. A script-writing Skill (for example a twist-ending short-form script planner) writes the story. This one starts from a script you already have and plans and QAs the video shots. Strictly SFW. No guarantee of results.

The Last Jar | soft clay-like 3D cartoon, 9:16 | 6 shots | planned 36s vs target 36s | READY TO GENERATE (after the 5 revisions below)

## Essentials
- Story beats (6): bee on the jar; Ilsa checks the storm warning and lifts a hive; swarm escapes in the storm; she chases it over rooftops to a park; she calms it; dawn hand-over of the jar to Teodor.
- Target runtime: 36 s. Format: 9:16 vertical. Style: soft clay-like 3D cartoon. Voice-over and captions to be added in the edit.
- Character: Ilsa Moravec, age 34, beekeeper (fictional city). One-shot character: Teodor (S06).
- Clip length limit: 4-8 s `DEFAULT-ASSUMED`. Shot count 6 (36 / 6 = 6 s average). `(assumed)`: Ilsa's trousers and boots colors, the jar's size, the park's look.
- All essentials present, so no questions asked.

## Anchor block
Ilsa Moravec, age 34, warm brown skin, sturdy build, short curly black hair, freckled face; mustard-yellow canvas jacket with patched left elbow, dark green trousers, brown boots; small amber glass jar with cork lid; rooftop apiary with three white hives above a fictional rain-washed city; soft dusk light; palette mustard, slate blue, forest green, amber; soft clay-like 3D cartoon.

May change on purpose: lighting and weather (S02-S06), location (park in S05, balcony in S06), Teodor appears only in S06.

## Shot table (v1)
| Shot | Purpose | Camera (size/angle/move) | Action | Sec | Start from | Ends on |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| S01 | hook | extreme close-up / eye-level / static | A single honeybee lands on the cork lid of the amber jar and walks across it; Ilsa is out of frame. | 4 | text-to-video | bee resting on cork lid |
| S02 | establish | medium / eye-level / slow push-in | Ilsa glances at her phone, then lifts a hive box with both hands. | 6 | image-to-video from approved key image of Ilsa on the roof | Ilsa holding hive box, looking up |
| S03 | reveal | wide / top-down / static | The swarm bursts from the third hive and spirals into the sky as rain begins; Ilsa stands small at the edge of the frame. | 6 | text-to-video | swarm spiralling above rooftops |
| S04 | action | wide / eye-level / tracking | Ilsa runs across rooftops and down into a city park, following the swarm. | 7 | image-to-video from last frame of S03 | Ilsa entering the park gate |
| S05 | payoff | medium / low / slow push-in | In the park, Ilsa hums with open arms while the swarm settles on a tree branch. | 6 | image-to-video from last frame of S04 | bees settled on the branch |
| S06 | closing | medium / over-the-shoulder / static | At dawn Ilsa hands the jar, labelled "LAST JAR", to her neighbor Teodor, a white-bearded older man in a grey cardigan, on his balcony. | 7 | text-to-video | Teodor holding the jar |
## Blind reviews
Independence simulated in one session: each list was written in full before the next persona started.

**Continuity Auditor**
- P2 S03/S04: the storm lighting is worded two ways ("storm darkens to dim grey-blue light" vs "storm lighting"); wording must be identical so the clips match.
- P2 S04/S05: the block says rooftop apiary but S04 ends in a park and its override names none; location changes need an explicit Override.
- P2 S06: first re-appearance of Ilsa's face after five clips is `text-to-video`; start from an approved key image to limit drift.
- P3 S01: Ilsa is out of frame, so the jar is the only anchor item shown; fine, but approve the jar's look first.
- Anchor block: exact-string match in all 6 prompts, pass.

**Motion Feasibility Realist**
- P1 S04: runs across rooftops AND down into a park in 7 s is a location change inside one clip.
- P1 S06: a hand-over between two characters is contact choreography; likely to fail.
- P2 S02: two actions (glance at phone, then lift box) in 6 s.
- P3 S03: a swarm spiralling is chaotic particle motion; expect rerolls. A static camera is the safest choice here.

**Edit Rhythm Reviewer**
- P2: static is used in S01, S03, S06 = 3 of 6, above the cap of 2.
- P3 S01: the hook shows a bee but not the stakes (the storm).
- Runtime 4+6+6+7+6+7 = 36 s vs 36 s: pass. No two consecutive identical movements: pass.

**Text and Safety Reviewer**
- P1 S06: the jar label "LAST JAR" will render as garbled letters; remove it and add the words in the edit.
- P2 S02: the phone screen would show a storm warning (text on a screen); turn the screen away.
- SFW pass; Ilsa age 34 as a number; no real person or logo.

## Cross-check
- Static camera used 3 of 6 (Edit Rhythm P2): CONFIRMED for the count; Motion CHALLENGES changing S03 (static is safest for the swarm), so S03 stays static (DISPUTED for S03) and S06 changes instead.
- S04 location change (Motion P1): CORROBORATED, Continuity raised the missing park Override independently.
- S06 hand-over (Motion P1) and label (Text P1): CONFIRMED, separate issues in the same shot.
- S06 start from text-to-video (Continuity P2): CONFIRMED.
- S03/S04 override wording (Continuity P2): CONFIRMED.
- S02 two actions (Motion P2) and phone text (Text P2): CONFIRMED.
- S01 hook lacks stakes (Edit P3): DISPUTED, Text and Safety notes the bee on the jar sets up the prop that pays off in S06.
- S03 swarm chaos (Motion P3): CONFIRMED, no fix, see Regenerate first.

## Mechanical checks
Before: 1 pass (6 shots, 4-7 s). 2 pass (36 s vs 36 s, 0%). 3 pass (anchor identical in 6 of 6). 4 FAIL (static 3 of 6; cap 2). 5 pass. 6 FAIL (S02 two actions; S04 location change; S06 contact). 7 FAIL (text: S02 phone screen, S06 jar label). 8 pass.
After revisions: 1 pass. 2 pass (36 s). 3 pass (6 of 6; the Override lines are separate from the block). 4 pass (static S01, S03 = 2; push-in S02, S05 = 2; tracking 1; handheld sway 1; no consecutive repeats). 5 pass. 6 pass. 7 pass (no text objects left in frame; storm warning and "LAST JAR" are added in the edit). 8 pass.

## Board verdict
READY TO GENERATE: no open P1, no open P2 after the changes below. Changes applied:
- S02: one action only (the phone is no longer used; it lies screen-away on the roof edge).
- S03: Override wording unified with S04 ("heavy storm, dim grey-blue light and rain instead of soft dusk light").
- S04: stays on the rooftops (the park moves entirely to S05); ends on "Ilsa on the last rooftop edge, swarm ahead".
- S05: Override now says "city park instead of the rooftop apiary"; starts from an approved key image of Ilsa in the park.
- S06: no hand-over and no label (the jar sits on the railing, Teodor smiles); camera changed from static to handheld sway; starts from an approved dawn key image.
- S02 and S06 Overrides now say what they replace.
Left to you (DISPUTED): whether S01 needs a stakes-showing hook.

Ends on jar on railing, Teodor smiling.
Start from: image-to-video from approved key image of Ilsa at dawn.

## Regenerate first
Test the anchor block first with **S02** (full Ilsa, medium shot, key image): if her face, jacket and jar come out right, the block works.
1. **S03** swarm: chaotic motion, most likely to need rerolls; keep the camera static and shorten to 5 s if it keeps breaking.
2. **S04** tracking run: running plus tracking can warp legs; if it fails, use a wide static shot of her silhouette running.
3. **S06** new character Teodor: describe him identically if you regenerate, and approve the dawn key image first.
4. **S05** park: location change from the anchor; check the jacket and jar still match.
5. **S01** macro bee: lowest risk; reroll only if the jar's shape drifts.

  • Catching text-in-image problems, repeated camera moves and impossible actions before spending credits
  • Checking the total runtime of a clip sequence against a target length

FAQ

Does it generate video? No. It writes and checks the prompts; you run them in the tool you like.

Will the character stay identical? The anchor block and a shared key image help, but no plan can guarantee a video model's consistency.

Does it write my script? No. It plans the shots of a script you already have.

Is adult content supported? No. The whole Skill is SFW-only.

Which tools? Any. Prompts are plain English with no tool-specific syntax.
