Japan TCG Listing Checker

Buying trading cards from Japan can be cheaper for many collectors, but the listings are in Japanese, condition words differ from English-language markets, and counterfeit or misleading listings target overseas buyers who can only judge from photos.

Paste the text of a listing from Mercari or Yahoo! Auctions (or send a screenshot) and get a clear report before you pay.

What you get

  • A plain-English translation of the listing and the seller's notes
  • A reading of the stated condition, with the Japanese original
  • Red flags rated HIGH / MEDIUM / LOW (missing shrink-wrap, "packs only", reference photos, "no claim no return", and more)
  • The information the listing leaves out
  • Ready-to-send questions in English and polite Japanese
  • A cost checklist for buying through a proxy service (item, proxy fee, shipping, duties)
  • An overall risk level: LOW / MEDIUM / HIGH

Works for

Single cards, graded cards (slabs), sealed boxes and packs, lots, and random packs. Built with popular Japanese trading card games in mind.

How to use

  1. Copy the listing text (title, condition, description, seller notes) or take a screenshot. If you use a screenshot, scroll so the condition, shipping and seller information are visible too.
  2. Paste it in. If you like, add your country and the proxy service you plan to use.
  3. Read the report, then send the suggested questions to the seller before you pay.

Example

Input (Japanese listing text)

トレーディングカード SAR 美品
状態:目立った傷や汚れなし
写真の物が全てです。
ノークレームノーリターンでお願いします。
神経質な方はご遠慮ください。
1枚の価格です。 3,800円

Output (summary)

  • Risk level: MEDIUM. Limited recourse (no returns), a hint of minor flaws, and the back and corners are not described.
  • Translation of the seller's notes, with the Japanese phrases kept in parentheses.
  • Flags: "no claim no return" (MEDIUM), "not for picky buyers" (LOW to MEDIUM: ask what the flaws are), price covers one card (LOW: confirm).
  • Missing information: back and corner photos, centering, card name, number and set.
  • Questions to send, in English and Japanese.
  • Cost checklist.

What it does not do

  • It does not confirm that a card is genuine or counterfeit. It gives a risk indicator based only on the text and images you provide.
  • It does not predict prices or tell you what to buy or sell as an investment.
  • It has no live market data and does not open marketplace links. Paste the text or a screenshot.
  • Please do not include names, addresses, or account details in what you paste.

FAQ

Can it tell me if a card is fake?
No. It reports what the listing shows and where the risk is. For graded cards it tells you to check the certificate number on the grader's official lookup.

Does it know today's prices?
No. It has no live data. To check prices, compare recently sold listings on the marketplace.

Can I trust the translation?
It is an AI translation. Key Japanese phrases are always shown in the original, so you or your proxy service can double-check them.
