Before you discount, run this once. From your past prices and sales, it measures how price-sensitive your customers are, finds the margin-maximizing price, and shows how much more you must sell to break even on any discount.

Before you discount, run the numbers

"Does 10% off actually pay?" "Costs went up — should I raise prices?" Most owners decide by feel and live with the margin for a year. Give it your price and sales history and get an answer in minutes.

What you get

What you get

  • How price-sensitive your customers are: price elasticity of demand with a confidence rating. With too little data it says so and falls back to an industry range.
  • Which price maximizes margin: revenue and gross margin from −20% to +20% in 5% steps, with the best row highlighted.
  • Discount break-even table: how much more you must sell for each discount, based on your margin.
  • Worst cases: price cuts that bring fewer buyers than expected, and price increases that lose more than expected.

Who it's for

E-commerce sellers, restaurants and retail shops, wholesalers, product managers planning annual price changes, and anyone planning a promotion.

How to use

  1. Download from Capafy — you get a zip file (no need to unzip).
  2. In Claude, turn on code execution, then upload the zip under Settings → Skills. (Claude Code users: unzip into ~/.claude/skills/.)
  3. Describe your situation in plain English. Claude asks for the numbers it needs, runs the model, and walks you through the results.

Output and language

Claude explains the results in your language. The Excel workbook and written report are currently labeled in Traditional Chinese; English labels are planned for a future version.

Privacy

Runs locally in your own Claude environment. No external connections, no API keys, and your numbers never leave your machine.

Requirements

A Claude environment that can run Python (e.g. Claude Code, or Claude with code execution enabled). Uses openpyxl; Claude can install it on first run.
