How it works

Bounded QA Revision Loop is for reviewing a listing, document, copy or code snippet without getting vague objections or an endless rewrite loop. A rejection only counts if it quotes the evidence and proposes a fix; the loop ends at a pass or after at most 5 rounds.

Phase 1 — Intake. Deliverable type, audience, hard constraints and which facts you confirm are true.

Phase 2 — Pick lenses. Reviewer lenses chosen by deliverable type (claims, buyer clarity, policy completeness, skeptical competitor and more).

Phase 3 — Gate and revise. Rejections without a concrete fix are downgraded to notes, valid ones are applied, and a round log tracks every change.

Phase 4 — Stop. Stops on pass, round cap, no new findings or the same finding twice, then writes an escalation message listing what needs your decision.

Sample output

Real, unedited output from running this Skill on a sample problem:

## Intake

1. Deliverable type: product page / listing (digital Notion template). Shown on: unknown (platform not stated).
2. Audience: freelancers. Action wanted: purchase.
3. Hard constraints: unknown (no word limit, required disclosures, banned words or platform rules supplied).
4. Facts the owner confirms are true: unknown. The page states the following, which the owner wrote but did not separately confirm: the four features listed, the price ($19 one-time), instant access after checkout, [email protected]. Everything else is unverified.
5. Version under review: `v1` (the full text supplied in the request).

## Lenses chosen

Product page / listing defaults, all four: **Claims and honesty**, **Buyer clarity**, **Policy completeness**, **Skeptical competitor**. Reason: a purchase page with strong promises and no refund or support detail carries the biggest risk in claims and missing buyer information.

## Round log

| Round | Version | Lenses run | Valid rejections (B/M/m) | Downgraded to notes | New findings | Result |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | v1 -> v2 | Claims and honesty, Buyer clarity, Policy completeness, Skeptical competitor | 6 / 3 / 0 | 3 (F-8, F-11, F-12) | 12 | Claims REJECT, Buyer clarity REJECT, Policy REJECT, Competitor PASS after gate. Revised to v2. |
| 2 | v2 -> v3 | Claims and honesty, Buyer clarity, Policy completeness, Skeptical competitor | 0 / 0 / 2 (plus 2 open NEEDS-OWNER carried from round 1) | 0 | 2 | Claims PASS, Buyer clarity PASS, Competitor PASS, Policy REJECT (open NEEDS-OWNER blockers). Revised to v3. |
| 3 | v3 | Claims and honesty, Buyer clarity, Policy completeness | 0 / 0 / 0 (2 NEEDS-OWNER still open, not re-counted) | 0 | 0 | No new findings. Stop. |

### Round 1 findings (on v1)

**Claims and honesty**

ID: F-1 Lens: Claims and honesty
Finding: Unverifiable absolute superlative in the title.
Evidence: "the only planner you will ever need"
Fix: Replace the title with "FreelanceFlow Planner: a Notion template for freelance projects, invoices and deadlines".
Severity: MAJOR

ID: F-2 Lens: Claims and honesty
Finding: Outcome promise (clients, income, 30 days) with no support from the owner.
Evidence: "Stop losing clients and double your income in 30 days."
Fix: Replace the sentence with "Keep your projects, invoices and deadlines in one place."
Severity: BLOCKER

ID: F-3 Lens: Claims and honesty
Finding: "Guaranteed ... forever" is an absolute guarantee the owner has not supplied; it also implies a refund promise the page never states.
Evidence: "it is guaranteed to fix your time management forever"
Fix: Delete ", and it is guaranteed to fix your time management forever" so the sentence ends after "in one place."
Severity: BLOCKER

ID: F-4 Lens: Claims and honesty
Finding: Unsupported popularity claim; no customer count or source supplied.
Evidence: "Thousands of freelancers already love it"
Fix: Delete "Thousands of freelancers already love it, and". (If the owner has real sales or review numbers, the owner may supply them to restore a factual version.)
Severity: BLOCKER

ID: F-5 Lens: Claims and honesty
Finding: Absolute compatibility claim for a Notion template; cannot be true of "every tool".
Evidence: "it works perfectly with every tool you use"
Fix: Replace with "it runs inside Notion".
Severity: BLOCKER

ID: F-6 Lens: Claims and honesty
Finding: Urgency claim about a price increase the owner has not confirmed.
Evidence: "Buy now before the price goes up!"
Fix: Replace with "Get FreelanceFlow Planner for $19, one-time."
Severity: MAJOR

**Buyer clarity**

ID: F-7 Lens: Buyer clarity
Finding: A first-time buyer cannot tell that a Notion account is required.
Evidence: "Duplicate the template into your own workspace"
Fix: Replace with "Duplicate the template into your own Notion workspace (a Notion account is required)".
Severity: MAJOR

ID: F-8 Lens: Buyer clarity
Finding: Unclear whether the invoice log creates or sends invoices, or whether reminders are automatic notifications.
Evidence: "An invoice log with due-date reminders"
Fix: NONE (only the owner knows how the reminders work)
Severity: MAJOR

**Policy completeness**

ID: F-9 Lens: Policy completeness
Finding: No refund or return statement for a digital product; the buyer lacks something needed to decide.
Evidence: "Price: $19 one-time. Instant access after checkout."
Fix: NONE (needs the owner's actual refund policy)
Severity: BLOCKER

ID: F-10 Lens: Policy completeness
Finding: The support address is a placeholder domain, so buyers cannot reach support.
Evidence: "Questions? Email [email protected]."
Fix: NONE (needs the owner's real support address)
Severity: BLOCKER

ID: F-11 Lens: Policy completeness
Finding: No licensing statement (personal vs. client use, redistribution) or update policy.
Evidence: "Duplicate the template into your own workspace"
Fix: NONE (needs the owner's license terms)
Severity: MAJOR

**Skeptical competitor**

ID: F-12 Lens: Skeptical competitor
Finding: Nothing says why this beats the many free Notion planners; no differentiator is given.
Evidence: "organizes your projects, invoices and deadlines in one place"
Fix: NONE (needs a real differentiator from the owner)
Severity: MAJOR

**Gate results (round 1).** F-8, F-11 and F-12 have no fix and are not BLOCKERs, so they are downgraded to notes. F-9 and F-10 are BLOCKERs with no fix, so they stay open as **NEEDS-OWNER**. The skeptical competitor's own wording of the "only planner" objection duplicates F-1 and was merged into it. Surviving: B = F-2, F-3, F-4, F-5, F-9, F-10; M = F-1, F-6, F-7.

**Changes applied to produce v2**

- F-1 -> title replaced as specified.
- F-2 -> opening sentence replaced with "Keep your projects, invoices and deadlines in one place."
- F-3 -> deleted ", and it is guaranteed to fix your time management forever".
- F-4 and F-5 -> the sentence "Thousands of freelancers already love it, and it works perfectly with every tool you use." became "It runs inside Notion."
- F-6 -> last line replaced with "Get FreelanceFlow Planner for $19, one-time."
- F-7 -> workspace sentence now names Notion and the account requirement.
- F-9, F-10 -> no change (NEEDS-OWNER, nothing invented).
- No conflicts between fixes.

### Round 2 findings (on v2)

Round 1 fixes held; no round 1 finding came back. F-9 and F-10 remain open (carried, not re-counted).

ID: F-13 Lens: Claims and honesty
Finding: Absolute, unverifiable ease claim.
Evidence: "no experience needed"
Fix: Delete ", no experience needed" so the sentence reads "Setup takes about five minutes."
Severity: MINOR

ID: F-14 Lens: Buyer clarity
Finding: The same phrase is repeated in two consecutive sentences.
Evidence: "FreelanceFlow Planner is a Notion template that organizes your projects, invoices and deadlines in one place."
Fix: Replace with "FreelanceFlow Planner is a Notion template for freelancers."
Severity: MINOR

Gate: both have exact quotes and concrete fixes, so both are valid. Both are cheap, so both are applied.

**Changes applied to produce v3**

- F-13 -> deleted ", no experience needed".
- F-14 -> second sentence of the opening paragraph replaced as specified.

### Round 3 findings (on v3)

Claims and honesty, Buyer clarity and Policy completeness re-run on v3. No valid finding that was not already seen. Policy completeness still reports F-9 and F-10 (open NEEDS-OWNER, unchanged because no fix could be applied without inventing facts).

Get FreelanceFlow Planner for $19, one-time.

## Escalation

QA loop stopped: no new findings after 3 round(s).
Current version: v3, attached above under "Final version"

Open items (need your decision):

  1. F-9 [BLOCKER] "Instant access after checkout" -- no refund or return statement for a digital product. Tried: NONE. Needed from you: your actual refund policy text (or an explicit "no refunds" statement if that is your policy).
  2. F-10 [BLOCKER] "Questions? Email [email protected]." -- placeholder address, buyers cannot reach support. Tried: NONE. Needed from you: your real support address.

Notes (downgraded, no fix offered):

  • F-8 [MAJOR] "An invoice log with due-date reminders" -- unclear whether it creates/sends invoices or whether reminders are automatic; you know how it works.
  • F-11 [MAJOR] "Duplicate the template into your own workspace" -- no license terms (personal vs. client use, redistribution) or update policy.
  • F-12 [MAJOR] "organizes your projects, invoices and deadlines in one place" -- no differentiator against free Notion planners; supply a real one if you have it.
  • Removed in v2 because unsupported: social-proof claim (F-4). If you have real sales or review numbers, supply them and it can return in factual form.
Not checked: "Setup takes about five minutes" (unverified), the four listed features and whether the template actually contains them (template not seen), "Instant access after checkout" and the $19 price (taken as supplied), whether the template works on Notion's free plan, any platform rules for the selling site.

This review does not replace human sign-off. Anything with legal, medical,
financial or safety impact needs review by a qualified person before release.

## Notes

- The v3 closing line repeats the price already shown in the "Price:" line. Style only, no risk attached, so it was left to the author.
- The opening of v3 now reads as a short statement plus a descriptor; if you want a stronger hook, write it from facts you can support.
- Refund wording, license terms and the real support address are the three items that most affect buyer trust and are yours to supply.

Stop condition reached: NO NEW FINDINGS (round 3). v3 is NOT ready for human sign-off until F-9 and F-10 are resolved.

Use cases

  • Checking a product page, README or announcement before you publish
  • Stopping an agent from endlessly 'improving' the same text
  • Getting review comments you can act on instead of 'feels weak'
  • Handing a clear open-items list to a human for sign-off

FAQ

Does it replace human sign-off? No. It is not legal, medical or financial advice, and open items are handed back to you.

Can it invent facts to fix a rejection? No. If the fix needs a fact only you know, the item is marked as needing your input.

Why 5 rounds? A hard cap keeps the loop from running forever; it stops earlier on a pass or when no new findings appear.
