Catch catalog problems before your next upload

A duplicate SKU, sale price above the regular price or malformed identifier can hide inside a large export. FeedGuard checks the supplied catalog and turns detected problems into a review queue your team can act on.

Designed for small stores and agencies reviewing a Google Merchant product CSV/TSV before an authorized operator submits it.

What you receive

  • The downloadable skill and original Python script.
  • An offline HTML report with a clear priority summary and source references.
  • Findings linked to product record numbers and physical CSV lines.
  • An editable correction queue for owner, decision, verified value and evidence.
  • JSON findings and SHA-256 evidence for the input and generated files.
  • A synthetic demo, setup instructions, data disclosure and commercial-use license for client reports.

Checked in version 1.0.0

Basic required attributes; ID length, duplicates and case collisions; price format, explicit expected currency and sale-price conflicts; HTTP(S) URL syntax; availability and condition values; single supplied GTIN check digits; identifier context and optional variant distinctions.

The script preserves your input and never invents replacement product facts or identifiers. It produces a review plan rather than silently changing your feed.

Requirements and price

US$19, one-time Download. Python 3.10+ and a local execution environment. The guided workflow requires an agent client that can read files and run Python. The standalone script also works without an AI model. No additional Python packages, API keys or paid API calls are required by the script. Your agent/model provider may charge separately and process uploaded data under its terms.

Use UTF-8 exports with English Merchant column names. CSV, TSV and explicitly selected semicolon separators are supported. Raw Shopify exports, XML and Excel files require preparation outside this package.

Per batch: up to 20 MiB, 50,000 product records, 200 columns and 100,000 findings. HTML displays up to 2,000 findings; CSV/JSON contain the full findings. Generated rule messages are English; the guided explanation can follow your language.

Review scope

This is a partial offline preflight, not a compliance certificate or Google approval. It does not connect Merchant Center, fetch URLs, inspect imagery, check checkout prices, validate GTIN assignment/restricted prefixes, fully validate currency registries or country/category rules, or cover tax, shipping, structured AI content and image metadata. These need separate checks. Rules were checked on October 6, 2026 and do not update automatically.

Validated on Linux/Python 3.12.14 with functional checks, synthetic capacity data and a separate agent-use task. Other operating systems, Python versions and agent clients are untested. No revenue, traffic or approval result is promised.

Commercial use of generated client reports is permitted; redistribution, modification or resale of the Skill Package is prohibited under the included license and applicable Capafy terms. FeedGuard is independent of Google and Capafy. Support: [email protected].

Example request

“Review this Merchant TSV for Mexico and MXN. Prioritize the detected problems and deliver a row-linked report and correction plan. Keep my source unchanged.”
