What this does

This is a second-opinion reviewer for a rirekisho (履歴書) and/or shokumu-keirekisho (職務経歴書) draft you already have in hand — it does not write one for you. Paste your draft, whether you wrote it yourself, filled it into a free template, or generated it with another AI tool, and it checks the draft against common Japanese job-application conventions before you submit.

Built for foreign professionals already working in Japan (for example, on an engineering/specialist or international-services visa) who are applying for their next role directly, without an agency, and who already have a draft and want a check before submitting it. Not for people with no draft yet, new graduates, or HR staff screening candidates.

Problems solved

• Era-year (和暦/西暦) notation mixed within the same document, which a non-native speaker may not notice.
• Education or work-history entries that do not follow the expected ordering for that document type (rirekisho: oldest-first; shokumu-keirekisho: 編年体 or 逆編年体, applied consistently).
• Drafts that still carry fields specific to the JIS rirekisho format, discontinued in July 2020, without the writer knowing this changed.
• Self-PR and motivation-statement phrasing that reads as too casual, too stiff, or inconsistent in register.

What you provide

Required: your existing rirekisho and/or shokumu-keirekisho draft (plain text or a common document format, any source).

Optional: document type if unclear, your intended era system or ordering convention if not obvious, a Japanese job posting to unlock the Pro alignment check, and which mode to run (defaults to Lite).

Not accepted: a bare Western-style resume/CV for generating a rirekisho from scratch — this reviews an existing rirekisho/shokumu-keirekisho-format draft only.

What you get back

A structured review, always written in English (with relevant Japanese excerpts quoted verbatim): findings (most significant first, each with excerpt/category/severity/reason/suggested fix), a format-currency note (Pro), keigo/register findings (Pro), job-posting alignment gaps (Pro, if supplied), a "what's already fine" note, and a closing disclaimer. This is a review report, not a generated or rewritten document — no score, grade, or ranking is ever produced.
