What it does

  • Reviews an email draft saved as a text file (--email) with local rules. No LLM calls.
  • Three reviewers score the draft from 0 to 100: Tone Reviewer looks for command phrasing, passive-aggressive phrasing and extra exclamation marks; Receiver Mind Reader looks for blame phrasing, vague asks and heavy use of "you"; Outcome Forecaster checks for an explicit ask, a deadline and a reason.
  • You choose a context type (casual, business or delicate; business by default). Thresholds: Tone and Receiver 65 / 75 / 85, Outcome 65 / 70 / 75.
  • Gives a Send, Revise Before Sending or Hold call. Hold means a score is more than 20 points below its threshold or the riskiest sentence carries several risk markers.
  • Quotes the sentence with the highest rule-based risk and gives a reason. If no sentence matches, it flags the longest sentence to re-read.
  • Optional relationship and purpose notes are shown in the report. They do not change the scores.
  • Shows Relationship Risk only when the Tone and Receiver scores are both below the threshold for the context you chose.
  • Suggests a rewrite of the risky sentence using built-in softer phrasings. It is a suggestion only; your draft file is never changed.
  • Saves a Markdown report and a log to the output folder you choose. The report quotes the risky sentence; the log keeps the start of the riskiest sentence (up to 200 characters).
  • An empty draft stops with an error.

What it can't do

  • It does not send email. You send it yourself.
  • It cannot know how the recipient will react. The scores count rule matches; they are not a prediction.
  • It does not rewrite or approve the message for you. The final decision is yours.
  • It does not compare against an earlier report (--prev-report is accepted but not read). Compare the two reports yourself.
  • The rules and word lists are in English, so it does not work on Japanese email.

Sample (fictional input and output, not a real result)

Call: Hold
Tone / Receiver / Outcome: 58 / 80 / 40
Riskiest sentence: "Hi Alex, Per my last email, you need to get the revised brief back to me ASAP."
Reason: command phrasing, a passive-aggressive marker and a vague deadline.
Relationship Risk: not shown (Receiver is at or above its threshold)
