EU AI Act Readiness Audit

EU AI Act Readiness Audit

Selling AI into Europe? Since Aug 2026, the EU AI Act enforces transparency duties with fines up to 15M euros or 3 percent of turnover (per Article 99, as of Oct 2026). This skill classifies every AI system you use into prohibited, high risk, limited risk, or minimal with a written keyword table you can inspect, then writes your inventory register, a deadline ordered obligations checklist, and an AI literacy training log. Planning help, not legal advice.

Overview
The EU AI Act is now enforceable, and the gap between the law and what companies have done is enormous: a 2026 compliance analysis found 83 percent of organizations have no formal AI system inventory and 78 percent have taken no meaningful compliance steps (Apr 2026 Vision Compliance analysis, via neuralwired, as of Jun 2026). Per salou.tech, every EU business whose staff uses ChatGPT became a regulated deployer in Feb 2025, and almost nobody knows the obligation exists. Per salou.tech, a consultant sells AI literacy workshops covering this exact ground. EU AI Act Readiness Audit does the inventory and triage work in house: you list your systems, it assigns each one a risk tier with a keyword rule you can read, and it produces the three documents a compliance review starts from.

What makes this different
A generic chatbot will summarize the AI Act at you. This skill does the work. It runs a real classifier script on your real system list: every tier assignment names the exact keyword or rule that fired, unmatched systems default to minimal with a VERIFY flag instead of false confidence, and prohibited hits say STOP with the ban date. The output is not a summary, it is an inventory register CSV, a calendar ordered obligations checklist with owner columns, and a training log template, all dated as of Oct 2026 with instructions to verify against official EU text.

How it works

  1. You build a simple CSV of every AI system the company uses or sells: name, vendor, a one sentence use case, and who it affects.
  2. You run the included script. It matches each use case against an embedded Annex III keyword table in strict tier order: prohibited, then high risk, then limited risk, then minimal.
  3. The script prints the tier for every system with the triage note, and writes three files: the inventory register, the obligations checklist ordered by enforcement date, and the training log template.
  4. You work the checklist: assign owners, confirm the VERIFY flagged systems with a qualified lawyer, and file the register as your evidence pack starting point.

Who it is for
Founders and operators selling AI enabled products into the EU, compliance generalists at small and mid size companies, and consultants who need a repeatable first pass audit for clients. Especially useful for teams that discovered the deployer obligations late and need an inventory this week, not next quarter.

What you get

  • The classifier.py script (Python 3, standard library only, no installs, no accounts, no network calls)
  • A guided questionnaire mode that builds the inventory CSV by asking you questions
  • The Annex III keyword table as a reusable reference you can copy into your own compliance docs
  • The obligations timeline formula with enforcement dates as of Oct 2026
  • Two fully worked examples: an 8 system company across all four tiers, and a tricky multilingual plus ambiguous use case file

Welcome Message
List every AI system your company uses or sells and I will classify each one under the EU AI Act, flag the deadlines that apply, and build your inventory register and obligations checklist. You bring the system list, I bring the triage.
