Excel Zero-IT RPA Toolkit v0.1

Product concept

Excel-native business automation for teams that:

• have Excel but limited IT/software installation permissions;
• repeatedly download or copy data from web systems;
• need to consolidate files into existing management reports;
• want local, user-controlled execution.

What is already reusable from the original VBA

1. One-time credential entry per run.
2. Batch report configuration: ReportID -> Target Sheet -> Source Sheet.
3. HTML table extraction into Excel.
4. Download completion detection by file existence + stable file size.
5. Workbook import and source-sheet selection.
6. Monthly-to-yearly matching and update logic.
7. Execution logging / success-failure reporting.

What was intentionally changed

The original code contains customer-specific URLs, report IDs, sheet names, Vue selectors and internal business rules. Those are NOT included in the generic product core.

The original browser automation also relies on Internet Explorer. The commercial-neutral MVP therefore separates browser automation into an adapter layer instead of hard-coding IE.

• RPA_Excel: workbook import and consolidation.
• RPA_Web: browser/web adapter interface.
• CONFIG: product settings.
• REPORT_MAP: customer-authorized report mappings.
• WORKFLOW: process definition.
• RUN_LOG: audit trail.

Security wording

Do NOT market the product as having "zero security risk".
Preferred wording:

• Excel-native
• no external programming language required
• no cloud upload required by the core toolkit
• credentials entered at runtime
• local/user-controlled execution
• suitable for restricted-IT environments

Commercialization roadmap

V0.1: Excel core + configuration.
V0.2: Edge/Chrome-compatible browser adapter.
V0.3: visual configuration wizard.
V0.4: packaged industry templates (Finance, FP&A, Cost, Sales Ops, Procurement).
V1.0: Capafy-ready product bundle + tutorial + demo workbook.

Important IP rule

Before selling any customized template, remove:

• employer URLs
• internal report IDs
• proprietary selectors
• company data
• credentials
• internal SOPs
• proprietary formulas or business rules that belong to the employer

Re-implement the reusable concept in a generic form.
