US Daily News Brief
What this does
You give it three things — a date, a keyword, and an outlet (or “all”). It returns
every article published by 22 major American outlets on that day matching your
keyword, each one summarised and linked.
The window
| Start | 00:00 Eastern Time (ET) on the date you name |
| End | 23:59 Eastern Time (ET) on the same date |
| Sources | 22 outlets, web articles only |
| Language | English-language reporting |
| Video | attached as a link when a broadcast source covered it |
| The timezone is printed at the top of every brief. Nothing outside the window is | |
| included, and the window is never widened silently to fill an empty result. | |
| What you get per article |
1. An original headline — written from the reporting, not copied from the outlet.
2. A 3-10 sentence summary in original wording. Length follows the substance of
the story, not a template.
3. The outlet’s own excerpt, quoted as published and labelled as theirs.
4. A direct link to the source, with the publication time.
Stories that ran in several places at once are threaded under one headline with the
other outlets listed, so twelve results mean twelve stories rather than four stories
printed three times.
How to ask
August 14, semiconductor tariffs, all outlets
yesterday, Federal Reserve, WSJ only
2026-08-11, Nvidia earnings, CNBC and Bloomberg
Date, keyword, outlet. Any two can be dropped — the date is the only one that is
really required. Say “all” for a full sweep.

On paywalls and copyright
This agent summarises and links. It does not reproduce articles.
Paywalled outlets are summarised from the publisher’s own excerpt and marked with a
lock. Direct quotation from article text is kept under fifteen words and used only
where the exact wording carries the meaning. If you ask for an article’s full text,
you’ll get the link instead — that’s deliberate, and it’s what keeps this tool
usable for professional work.
Honest limits
• If a source published nothing matching your keyword, it says so. It does not fill
the gap with adjacent days or looser matches.
• Feeds occasionally break. When one does, it’s dropped for that run and reported at
the end rather than silently omitted.
• Summaries are generated. For anything you’ll act on or publish, open the link and
read the original.
Same-day sourcing, honest gaps, always linked.
