Market Entry Radar

Market Entry Radar

I built this Skill to help traders and market researchers scan current opportunities across stocks, forex, commodities, indices and crypto using a hybrid technical framework. It combines trend, range, mean reversion, breakout/retest, VWAP/POC, news context and sentiment-aware filters. The Skill prioritizes verified market data, clear long/short setups, risk levels, backtest availability and a local visual dashboard. Research only — not financial advice.

Market Entry Radar

Local-first market research Skill for Codex Desktop, Claude Desktop, long/short setup scanning and visual dashboard generation.

Market Entry Radar helps traders and market researchers scan current market conditions across stocks, forex, commodities, indices and crypto using a hybrid technical and contextual framework.

It is designed to identify a small number of potential long and short setups, explain why they qualify, highlight what data was verified, show risk levels, and generate a local visual dashboard for easier review.

Research only — not financial advice.

Local-first Skill

Market Entry Radar is designed primarily for Download usage.

After purchase, users run the Skill in their own local agent environment, such as Codex Desktop or Claude Desktop. This allows the Skill to work with the user’s own environment, optional local packages, optional API keys, local files and locally generated dashboard outputs.

This Skill does not require users to send private API keys to the publisher.

Users remain in control of their own data sources, credentials, dependencies and trading workflow.

What this Skill helps with

Market Entry Radar helps users find and organize current market opportunities by combining technical setups, market context, news flow, sentiment checks and risk framing.

It can help with:

  • finding potential long setups
  • finding potential short setups
  • scanning liquid stocks, indices, forex pairs, commodities and crypto assets
  • checking current quotes and market context
  • identifying trend, range, mean reversion, breakout/retest and VWAP/POC-style setups
  • checking whether OHLCV data and backtesting are available
  • generating structured trading research reports
  • creating a local HTML dashboard for visual review
  • separating base setups from high-risk watchlist ideas

The Skill is designed to return only a few focused opportunities instead of overwhelming the user with a large watchlist.

Strategy framework

Market Entry Radar uses a hybrid strategy framework inspired by common market structure and technical analysis workflows.

It can evaluate setups using:

  • Trend following with moving average context, including MA50/MA200
  • Range trading using RSI and MACD confirmation
  • Mean reversion using Bollinger Bands and RSI
  • Breakout + retest logic with volume confirmation where available
  • VWAP / POC / Market Profile-style reasoning when reliable data is available
  • News trading context for macro events, regulations, ETFs, earnings and market-moving catalysts
  • Sentiment-aware filters when X, Reddit, news or other context sources are accessible

The Skill should not fabricate technical indicators, prices, volume, sentiment scores or backtest results. If a data point cannot be verified, it should say so clearly.

Data-source approach

Market Entry Radar uses a fallback-style data workflow.

It can work with:

  1. User-provided OHLCV CSV files
  2. API providers if the user has their own keys configured locally
  3. Free or public market-data sources when accessible
  4. Web research for quotes, market context, news and sentiment
  5. Optional local packages, such as yfinance, pandas or ta, only if already installed or approved by the user

Supported or intended data-source categories include:

  • public market pages
  • market news sources
  • Google Finance-style market context
  • Yahoo Finance / yfinance when available
  • TradingView-style market context
  • Investing.com-style macro and quote context
  • FXStreet-style forex/macro context
  • SEC EDGAR for filings and fundamental context
  • crypto public endpoints where available
  • optional API providers such as Twelve Data, Alpha Vantage, Finnhub or Polygon when the user provides API keys

Some data sources may be unavailable, blocked, delayed, rate-limited, login-only or require user configuration.

The Skill should treat public web pages as market context unless reliable structured data is available. It should not claim deterministic OHLCV or backtest coverage from a source unless that data was actually retrieved and parsed.

Optional API keys and dependencies

No paid external API account is required for basic research usage.

However, users may improve OHLCV, indicator and backtest coverage by configuring optional market-data API keys locally, such as:

  • TWELVE_DATA_API_KEY
  • ALPHA_VANTAGE_API_KEY
  • FINNHUB_API_KEY
  • POLYGON_API_KEY

Optional local Python packages may improve data access and technical calculations:

yfinance
pandas
ta

The Skill should not install optional packages without user approval.

If optional data sources are unavailable, the Skill should continue with the best verified data available and clearly mark unavailable items.

What the Skill returns

A typical response includes:

  • 1–2 potential long setups
  • 1–2 potential short setups
  • one optional high-risk candidate when a speculative setup is present
  • asset name and market
  • current price and currency when verified
  • long/short bias
  • entry zone
  • stop loss
  • take profit
  • expected hold time
  • risk/reward framing
  • setup thesis
  • validation status
  • risk notes
  • news or sentiment context when available
  • backtest status when real OHLCV data is available
  • a local HTML dashboard when supported

The Skill should clearly distinguish between:

  • verified data
  • partially verified data
  • unavailable data
  • qualitative context
  • high-risk speculative setups

Local dashboard

Market Entry Radar can generate a local HTML dashboard to make the output easier to review.

The dashboard is designed to show:

  • current setup summary
  • compact data-quality badges
  • long and short candidates
  • conviction labels
  • entry / stop / target zones
  • risk/reward
  • validation notes
  • source chips
  • high-risk watchlist section
  • research-only disclaimer

In most desktop environments, the dashboard is generated as a local HTML file and can be opened directly in the browser.

When the environment allows a local server to stay active, the Skill may also serve the dashboard through localhost. If localhost is not available or the runtime does not keep background servers alive, the Skill should provide the generated HTML file path instead.

Data-quality rules

Market Entry Radar should follow strict data-quality rules:

  • do not invent prices
  • do not invent RSI, MACD, moving averages or volume
  • do not invent sentiment percentages
  • do not invent backtest results
  • do not present synthetic data as verified
  • do not claim a source was checked if it was not accessible
  • show “unavailable” when OHLCV or backtest data cannot be verified
  • prioritize liquid and relatively trustworthy assets for the base list
  • separate high-risk ideas from the main setup list

This keeps the output useful without creating false precision.

Risk and compliance

This Skill is for trading research and market analysis only.

It does not provide financial advice, investment advice, brokerage advice, personalized investment recommendations or guaranteed trading signals.

Users should always verify:

  • real-time price
  • broker fees
  • spreads
  • liquidity
  • slippage
  • borrow availability for shorts
  • overnight fees
  • position sizing
  • tax implications
  • market-moving events
  • local regulations

Markets can move against any setup.

Best suited for

Market Entry Radar is useful for:

  • active traders
  • swing traders
  • market researchers
  • crypto traders
  • macro watchers
  • retail investors doing pre-trade research
  • users who want structured long/short ideas
  • users who want a visual dashboard instead of a plain watchlist

Output formats

Depending on the environment and available tools, the Skill can return:

  • Markdown research report
  • structured setup table
  • local HTML dashboard
  • JSON report file
  • data-quality summary
  • backtest summary when real OHLCV data is available

Important limitations

Market Entry Radar depends on data availability in the user’s environment.

Some providers may be unavailable, blocked, delayed, rate-limited, login-only or require API keys.

If reliable OHLCV data is not available, the Skill should still provide market research where possible, but it should not fabricate indicators or backtest results.

If no asset fully matches the required conditions, the Skill should say that clearly and show the closest valid setup instead.

The Skill does not execute trades and does not connect to brokerage accounts by default.
