Travel Like You've Been There — Plan in One Chat

Plan your next trip the way a well-traveled friend would walk you through it — by conversation, day by day — and walk away with one self-contained HTML guide you can print, save, or browse offline. Every day includes a visual route strip with one-tap Google Maps, a packing list that grows as you plan, trip-specific traps to avoid, and a budget breakdown. Built for honeymooners, event-anchored short trips, and first-time visitors — anyone who'd rather not stitch a trip together from blog posts.

Plan trips by talking them through — get a magazine-style HTML guide that travels with you

🎯 What it does

Travel Companion plans complete trips through conversation, then delivers one self-contained HTML file with everything you need on the road. Itinerary with timing and routes, a packing list grown from the actual plan, budget breakdown, entry requirements, and trip-specific traps to avoid — all designed to print clean on A4 or read offline on your phone.

Built for solo, couple, or family leisure travel; honeymoons and anniversaries; short trips anchored on a concert, exhibition, or event; and first-time visits to a new country. Not for business travel or fully-booked trips needing only last-mile tips.

🛠 How it works

  1. Discovery — A few targeted questions to lock essentials (destination, dates, group, rough budget). Not a survey.
  2. Progressive planning — Work through the trip day by day, with a moment to adjust at the end of each. Saying "you decide the rest" auto-switches to fast-track mode.
  3. Delivery — One self-contained HTML file. Return anytime to revise a single day or item.

💡 Example

Input:

"Planning a Bali trip with my wife, April 10–12, mid-range budget, never been before."

Output (excerpt):

  • 3-day itinerary with Day 2 anchored on a pre-dawn volcano hike for sunrise
  • Visual route strip on each day showing hotel start, every stop, and end point — with one-tap Google Maps integration
  • Packing list with hike-specific items (headlamp, warm layer) accumulated naturally from the planning conversation
  • Common Traps section with trip-specific advice
  • Single self-contained HTML file (~40KB), readable in airplane mode, printable to A4

The most distinctive section is Common Traps — not "stay hydrated" filler, but specific opinions for this trip. Examples from the Bali dossier: "Don't try to add Seminyak in 3 days. Don't take Mount Agung sunrise instead of Batur. The 'Bali swings' photo spots are overpriced — skip them."

📥 Input formats

  • Natural-language trip descriptions — "I want to go to Tokyo for a week next month"
  • Destination + dates + group size — minimum viable input
  • Event anchors — concerts, exhibitions, sports matches, festivals (dates auto-verified via web search before planning starts)
  • Multi-city trips — segments adapt to natural city boundaries
  • Any input language — the output dossier follows your language all the way through (section headers, captions, button labels)

📦 What you get in the dossier

  • One self-contained HTML file with all CSS and JS inline; zero external dependencies
  • Climate-appropriate visual theme (coastal / mountain / tropical / urban / desert / nordic)
  • Print-optimized for A4 with proper page breaks (cover, then each day, then references)
  • Interactive packing checklist with state that persists in the browser
  • Day-collapse interaction for mobile reading
  • One-tap copy button for non-Latin place names (show to a taxi driver)
  • Optional health considerations module (auto-included for regions that warrant it)
  • Optional emergency medical card (English + local language) on request
