Upload a mix or master (WAV, MP3, FLAC, AIFF, or M4A) and Mix Doctor runs a
real technical analysis — not a generic AI opinion — then turns the numbers
into a plain-English report you can actually act on.

What you get

Every report covers:

  • Loudness & headroom — integrated loudness (LUFS) checked against the
    right target for where your track is headed (Spotify, Apple Music,
    YouTube, or club/DJ level), plus true peak and clipping detection
  • Frequency balance — where your mix is heavy or thin (sub, bass,
    low-mid "boxiness," mid, high-mid, presence, air), explained in terms of
    what it actually sounds like
  • Dynamics — how limited/punchy your track is, and whether that matches
    what you're going for
  • Stereo image — mono-compatibility and width, so you know if your mix
    will translate to phones, club systems, and playlists
  • A prioritized action plan — 3-5 concrete next moves, ordered by
    impact, described as techniques (never specific plugins or presets) so
    the advice works in whatever DAW you use

Reports come with two charts (frequency spectrum, loudness over time) and
adapt their depth to your experience level — plain-language if you're just
starting out, technical and to the point if you already know your way
around EQ and compression.

How it works

Mix Doctor runs a deterministic audio-analysis script (loudness metering
approximating ITU-R BS.1770, FFT-based frequency-band analysis, true-peak
detection via oversampling, stereo correlation) — the same numbers every
time you run it — then a language model interprets those numbers with
genre and context awareness to write the actual report. You get consistent
measurements and judgment, not just a wall of stats.

Honesty built in: every report states its assumptions (genre, target
platform, experience level) up front, treats every number as a hypothesis
to check by ear rather than a verdict, and will tell you outright if your
uploaded audio doesn't look like a normal musical mix (e.g. a stuck export
or the wrong file) instead of confidently analyzing the wrong thing.

Limitations

The loudness and dynamic-range figures are solid approximations, not
readings from a certified broadcast meter — treat them as direcloudness_example.pnglockup_2.pngtional.
This is a diagnostic and advisory tool: it tells you what to fix and how,
but it doesn't render or export a new audio file for you.
