Sticker Expression List Planner turns one character description plus a pack size (for example 24 images) into a numbered expression and situation list for a chat-sticker or emoticon pack. It plans the list before you draw; it does not draw. It sits between sticker-concept-board (reviews the concept) and sticker-set-pre-submission-qa (checks finished images).

Phase 0 — Intake. Needs the character, the pack size and the caption language (or "no text"). Asks at most 3 questions, only if one is missing.

Phase 1 — Anchors and quotas. A short anchor list, plus ten daily-chat categories (greeting, thanks and sorry, ok and no, happy, tired and low, cheering, status like "on my way", reactions, requests, character signature) with a minimum number of rows each.

Phase 2 — The list. Each row: situation, expression, pose or prop, a caption of 8 words or fewer (or no text) and a one-line generator-neutral image prompt.

Phase 3 — Validation. Duplicate expression plus pose, category balance, caption length, hands or props covering the face, readability when shrunk to about 96-370 px, catchphrase and trademark-resemblance warnings, and a SFW check.

Phase 4 — Board review. Four reviewers (Chat-Use Editor, Small-Size Legibility Inspector, Variety Auditor, Originality & Safety Scout) check the list blind, cross-examine each other, and a verdict tags findings CONFIRMED, CORROBORATED or DISPUTED. Fixes are applied and listed.

Sample output

Real, unedited output from running this Skill on a sample problem:

Input ([HAND-WRITTEN FICTIONAL SAMPLE - invented for testing.]):

Character: Pudding, a round, sleepy-eyed white cat with a small red scarf; pack size 24; captions in English, 8 words or fewer; chat-sticker style, thick outline, flat colours.

Position: `sticker-concept-board` reviews the concept before this step; this Skill plans the row-by-row list before drawing; `sticker-set-pre-submission-qa` checks the finished images afterwards. This Skill replaces neither. (If you already have finished images, that QA Skill is the one to use.)

Pudding - flat colour chat-sticker style (thick outline) - 24 rows - captions in English (8 words or fewer) - adult animal mascot (assumed), SFW.

## Essentials
- Character: Pudding, a round white cat with sleepy eyes and a small red scarf (species: cat; given).
- Art style: chat-sticker look, thick outline, flat colours (given). Pack size N = 24 (given). Caption language: English, 8 words or fewer (given).
- Store/messenger: not given, so no store rules are assumed.
- Age was not stated. (assumed) adult animal mascot. Romance-leaning rows are avoided either way: the only "love" row is a friendly heart hug.
- (assumed) no signature prop, because none was given; the scarf is treated as a marking, and the few scene props (heart, party popper, bun) are one-offs.
- (assumed) plain flat background colour per row, mid-tone so the white fur stays visible; (assumed) captions are added in an editor after drawing, so prompts leave the caption area blank.
- All essentials are present, so no questions were asked.

## Anchors
- Round white cat, big round head, short limbs, adult animal mascot (assumed).
- Sleepy eyes: half-lidded is the resting look; rows may open them wide (surprise, excitement) or shut them (sleep, joy) as deliberate contrast.
- Small red scarf at the neck in every row (may droop, fly or be hugged; never removed, never tied as a bow near the ear). Mouth is always drawn.
- Thick dark outline, same weight in every row; flat colours, no gradients.
- Palette: white, red, outline colour, plus one plain mid-tone background colour per row (never white or cream).
- Signature prop: none given. One prop per row at most.
- May change per row: expression, pose, background colour, scarf motion.

## Validation
Run on the list as drafted (before the board). The re-run after the board is under "Changes applied". Row numbers below are the final numbers (rows were not renumbered).
1. Row count: 24 rows numbered 01-24, none merged. Pass.
2. Duplicate expression + pose family: no identical pair. Pose families: bust-front 7 (01, 05, 07, 14, 16, 22, 24 = 29%, under the 35% cap), bust-side 3, face-only 3, full-action 3, sit-lie 3, full-stand 2, with-prop-large 2, back-view 1. Longest same-family run is 2 (rows 09-10). Both reading-distance types present (13 bust/face-only rows, 5 full-body/action rows). Pass. Change made: row 07 was "half-lidded, calm small smile" in bust-front, a [NEAR-DUP] of row 01 at 96 px; changed to "eyes wide open for once, confident grin".
3. Category coverage (rows / minimum at N=24): A 4/2, B 2/2, C 3/2, D 3/2, E 2/2, F 2/2, G 3/2, H 2/2, I 1/1, J 2/2. Largest is A with 4 rows = 16.7%, under the 25% cap. Core situations present: hello 01, goodnight 03, thanks 05, sorry 06, ok 07, no 08, laugh 10, sad 14, tired 13, cheer-up 15, congratulations 16, on my way 17. Pass.
4. Captions: every caption is 1-4 words, so all are in the PASS tier (longest: "You can do it" 15, 4 words). No caption repeats another. None needs unusual punctuation to be understood ("Huh?!" and "Really?" lean on the question mark but stay readable without it). Pass.
5. Face occlusion: [FACE] risk on rows 12 (large heart), 19 (bun near mouth) and 24 (scarf near the mouth); fallbacks are in the Flags column. [HANDS] on rows 01, 05, 06, 07, 08, 15, 16, 22 (row 18 was cleared by the board); fallbacks given. Pass with fallbacks.
6. Small-size readability (about 96-370 px; a described test, not a viewed one): three changes made. Row 04 had the head in profile in a back view, so the sleepy eyes would vanish; changed to head turned fully back toward the viewer. Row 14 and row 10 used tear dots; changed to wide tear streams. Row 16 used confetti bits; changed to large bold streamers. Row 20 had a white background behind a white cat; changed to bright coral. Pass after these changes.
7. Originality (surface check only, no store or trademark search; not legal advice): all 24 captions are plain everyday words; no slogan, lyric, meme line, brand or real person; no pose named after a famous character. Character-level note: a white cat with one red accessory is a very common mascot recipe; see the Scout in the board review.
8. SFW and age: every row is a clothed-by-design mascot pose; no suggestive pose or caption. "Love you" (row 12) is a friendly heart hug. No romance-leaning row exists, which is also safe if the character turns out to be young. Pass.

## Board review
Reviewers were run as four independent passes in the order below, with no Agent tool available. Each pass saw only the validated list and the character paragraph, and was written before the next pass was read. Findings quote the row as it stood before the board.

### Independent findings
**Chat-Use Editor**
- #1 Rows 13 "So tired / Exhausted", 23 "Zzz / Nodding off" and 03 "Night night": three rows send the "I am sleepy" message; 13 and 23 are the closest. Suggest replacing row 23 with a different chat message.
- #2 Row 24 "Cozy / content smile, hugging scarf ends": almost nobody sends this in chat; low reuse. Suggest a message people really type, such as "Stay warm", with the scarf pulled over the nose.
- Mood is balanced: refusal (08 "Nope"), apology (06 "Sorry") and low moods (13, 14) all exist. "Are you there?" is the only common request missing, acceptable because category I needs only one row at N=24. No other gap found.

**Small-Size Legibility Inspector**
- #1 Rows 23 "eyes shut, sit-lie, sleep bubble" and 03 "eyes shut, sit-lie, round cushion": same closed-eye low silhouette; at 96 px they read as the same sticker, and the sleep bubble is small. Fix: make row 23 an upright, head-drooping pose with a big bubble.
- #2 Rows 02 "soft yellow", 09 "cream", 10 "yellow", 16 "warm-yellow" and 19 "warm-beige" backgrounds against white fur: the silhouette weakens even with a thick outline. Fix: mid-tone backgrounds.
- #3 Row 08 "arms crossed in an X in front of the body": a round, short-limbed body hides crossed arms at 96 px. Fix: a big X made overhead.
- #4 Row 15 caption "You can do it": 13 characters, the widest caption in the pack at phone size. Suggest "Go for it!".
- #5 Row 22 "paws clasped under the chin": paws merge with chin and scarf into one blob. Fix: paws held lower, away from the face.

**Variety Auditor**
- #1 Rows 09 "half-lidded eyes, eyes to the side" and 21 "half-lidded side-eye, one brow up": both are a sideways sleepy glance with a flat-ish mouth; they differ by one eyebrow. Fix: row 09 eyes open and looking up.
- #2 Rows 01 "paw waving beside the head" and 18 "one paw raised, palm out": same palm-forward raised-paw silhouette in the same pose family; rows 07 (thumb up) and 15 (fist pump) also rely on a raised paw. Fix: row 18 without a raised paw.
- Checked and not a problem: prop use (heart 12, party popper 16, bun 19, cushion 03 are all one-offs), caption sentence shapes (two-word captions are spread across greeting, thanks and love, no repeated structure), and camera (7 bust-front rows are separated by other families).

**Originality & Safety Scout**
- #1 Row 22 "huge shiny pleading eyes, tiny pout": a cat with huge glossy pleading eyes is the best-known pose of a famous fairy-tale cat character. Surface suspicion only. Fix: change to a sulky small-eyed pout.
- #2 Row 07 "paw raised in a loose fist, thumb up": a thumbs-up reads as rude or negative in some regions. Rely on the caption "OK!" or use an open raised paw.
- #3 Character level, every row's prompt "white cat, red scarf" and row 24 "scarf ends": a white cat with a single red accessory is close to a very well-known white cat mascot with a red bow. Surface suspicion, not clearance. Fix: keep the mouth always drawn, keep the scarf at the neck (never a bow at the ear), and rely on the sleepy eyes as the identity.
- No catchphrase, slogan, lyric, brand or real person in any caption; no SFW or age issue in any row.

### Cross-examination
- [Editor #1, rows 13/23] challenged by Scout: "row 23 is one of the two required category J rows and sleepiness is the only trait in the paragraph; replacing it would mean inventing a trait" / corroborated by Inspector: "rows 23 and 03 share a silhouette (this is Inspector #1), so the overlap is real".
- [Editor #2, row 24] challenged by Inspector: "pulling the scarf over the nose hides the mouth, which is the only expressive feature on a sleepy face; keep the scarf below the mouth" (aimed at the proposed fix, not the finding) / corroborated by Variety: "row 24 hugging scarf ends has the same hug-the-item look as row 12 hugging a heart".
- [Inspector #1, rows 23/03] no challenge / corroborated by Editor: "03, 13 and 23 all deliver the sleepy message, so three similar silhouettes hurt reuse" and by Variety: "same low closed-eye shape twice".
- [Inspector #2, rows 02/09/10/16/19] no challenge / corroborated by Variety: "five pale backgrounds in the same lightness also flatten the pack".
- [Inspector #3, row 08] no challenge / corroborated by Variety: "row 22 clasped paws has the same limb-overlap weakness on a round body".
- [Inspector #4, row 15] challenged by Editor: "\"You can do it\" is the natural phrase for encouraging someone through something hard; \"Go for it\" means start doing it, a different message" / not corroborated by Variety or Scout.
- [Inspector #5, row 22] no challenge / corroborated by Variety: "limbs overlapping the head again, same weakness as row 08".
- [Variety #1, rows 09/21] no challenge / corroborated by Inspector: "two small sideways half-lidded glances, details lost at 96 px".
- [Variety #2, rows 01/18] no challenge / corroborated by Inspector: "wave and palm-out are the same raised-paw silhouette at small size".
- [Scout #1, row 22] challenged by Editor: "wide shiny eyes are a generic cartoon trope for asking a favour; no hat, boots or sword is present" / corroborated by Inspector: "shiny eye highlights are fine detail that disappears at 96 px anyway".
- [Scout #2, row 07] challenged by Editor: "thumbs-up is a default gesture in every chat app and the caption \"OK!\" carries the meaning" / corroborated by Inspector: "a thumb on a short round paw is a tiny detail at 96 px".
- [Scout #3, character level] challenged by Editor: "the look comes from the user's own paragraph and a white cat with a scarf is generic; nothing in the list to change" (no concrete reason it is a false positive) / no corroboration from Variety or Inspector.

### Verdict
1. **[CORROBORATED]** Rows 23 and 03 share one closed-eye low silhouette (Inspector #1, Editor, Variety). Fix: row 23 becomes upright with the head dropping forward and a big sleep bubble (applied).
2. **[CORROBORATED]** Rows 02, 09, 10, 16, 19 have pale backgrounds against white fur (Inspector #2, Variety). Fix: mid-tone backgrounds (applied).
3. **[CORROBORATED]** Row 08 crossed arms are lost on a round body (Inspector #3, Variety). Fix: a big X overhead (applied).
4. **[CORROBORATED]** Row 22 clasped paws merge with chin and scarf (Inspector #5, Variety). Fix: paws held low at the chest (applied). The eyes are a separate disputed item, see 11.
5. **[CORROBORATED]** Rows 09 and 21 are confusable sideways sleepy glances (Variety #1, Inspector). Fix: row 09 eyes open and looking up, lips in a wavy line (applied).
6. **[CORROBORATED]** Rows 01 and 18 share a raised-paw silhouette (Variety #2, Inspector). Fix: row 18 paws folded on the belly with three big dots in a bubble above the head (applied).
7. **[CORROBORATED]** Row 24 "Cozy" is a message people rarely send (Editor #2, Variety). Fix: caption "Stay warm", scarf ends hugged to the chest, scarf kept below the mouth per the Inspector's amendment (applied).
8. **[CONFIRMED]** Character-level resemblance to a well-known white-cat-with-red-accessory mascot (Scout #3). Fix: anchors already state mouth always drawn, scarf at the neck, never a bow; sleepy eyes are the identity. No row text changed. Surface suspicion only, not clearance.
9. **[DISPUTED]** Rows 13 and 23 send nearly the same "sleepy" message (Editor #1). Challenge: row 23 is a required trait-based category J row and sleepiness is the only trait given. Both sides shown; row 23 keeps its message "Zzz", only its pose changed (verdict 1). Your call whether to swap its message.
10. **[DISPUTED]** Row 15 caption "You can do it" is wide at phone size (Inspector #4). Challenge: "Go for it!" changes the meaning. Row left as written (4 words, PASS tier).
11. **[DISPUTED]** Row 22 huge shiny pleading eyes resemble a famous cat's pose (Scout #1). Challenge: generic trope, but the eye highlights are also fine detail at 96 px (Inspector). Row 22 eyes left as written; flagged [IP?]. Your call.
12. **[DISPUTED]** Row 07 thumbs-up may read differently by region (Scout #2). Challenge: it is a default chat gesture and the caption carries the meaning; the thumb is also tiny at 96 px. Row left as written with the fallback "paw raised flat"; flagged [IP?]. Your call.

### Changes applied
- Row 23: pose family sit-lie to full-stand (upright, head dropping forward, big sleep bubble).
- Rows 02, 09, 10, 16, 19: backgrounds changed to warm-gold, dusty-mauve, bright-cyan, violet, terracotta (the beige, cream, yellow and peach versions were removed). Row 09 expression also changed (verdict 5).
- Row 08: crossed arms in front changed to a big X overhead.
- Row 22: paws held low at the chest instead of clasped under the chin.
- Row 18: raised palm replaced by folded paws and three big dots (the [HANDS] flag is gone).
- Row 24: caption "Cozy" to "Stay warm"; scarf kept below the mouth.
- Anchors: the line "mouth always drawn, scarf never a bow" is part of the anchors above (verdict 8).
- Rows 07, 11, 12, 13, 15 to 17, 19 to 21 and 06 were not changed.

Phase 3 re-run on the changed rows and on the whole list:
- Count: 24 rows. Pose families now bust-front 7 (29%), full-stand 3, bust-side 3, face-only 3, full-action 3, sit-lie 2, with-prop-large 2, back-view 1; the longest same-family run is still 2. 13 bust/face-only rows, 6 full-body/action rows. Pass.
- Category table unchanged (A 4, B 2, C 3, D 3, E 2, F 2, G 3, H 2, I 1, J 2); core situations all still present. Pass.
- Captions: all 1-4 words; "Stay warm" is 2 words; no repeats. Prompt lines re-counted: every image prompt is between 33 and 40 words. Pass.
- [FACE]/[HANDS]: row 24 scarf stays below the mouth; row 22 paws lowered; row 18 has no hands raised. Pass with fallbacks.
- Small size (described test): row 23 now upright with a big bubble; row 08 uses a large overhead X; backgrounds are mid-tone. Pass.
- Originality: "Stay warm" is a plain everyday phrase. Pass. SFW and age: pass.

**Recommendation:** Needs the user's decision on 4 disputed items (rows 07, 15, 22 and the row 13/23 message overlap); otherwise ready to draw.

## Notes
- Confirm the (assumed) items: adult animal mascot, no signature prop, mid-tone plain backgrounds, captions added after drawing.
- Confirm the current spec (image count, pixel size, format, caption and content rules) on the store's own page; this plan uses only your N = 24 and a 96-370 px readability test as a working assumption.
- Planning only: nothing was drawn or viewed, so the small-size and occlusion checks are reasoned from descriptions, `[IP?]` is a surface suspicion without any store or trademark search, and a generator may need rerolls (blank caption areas especially).
- Want a second language's caption set, a 16-row cut-down, or the prompt lines rephrased for a named tool?

Use cases

  • Deciding what to draw for a 16, 24, 32 or 40-image sticker pack before spending time on art
  • Checking that a pack covers daily chat (hello, thanks, sorry, ok, tired, on my way) instead of ten versions of "happy"
  • Writing short captions that still read on a phone
  • Catching hand-over-face poses and look-alike expressions before they are drawn

FAQ

Does it draw the stickers? No. It writes the plan and a neutral prompt line per row; you draw or generate elsewhere.

Does it know the store's rules? No. It never states a store's current spec; confirm image count, size, format and caption rules on the store's own page.

Will it predict approval or sales? No. Nothing here predicts approval, ranking or sales, and the trademark check is a surface warning, not legal advice.

Is it safe for work? Yes. The Skill is SFW-only; for characters under 18 there are no romance-leaning rows.

Which tools? Any SKILL.md-compatible agent (Claude Code, Codex CLI, OpenClaw). One-time download, no hosting, no API key.
