VERIFY — Scam & Payment Risk Check
⚠️ Important: VERIFY provides informational risk analysis, not legal, financial, real-estate, law-enforcement or identity-verification services. It cannot guarantee that a transaction is safe or fraudulent. Never upload passwords, PINs, one-time authentication codes, full card numbers, private keys or unredacted identity-document numbers.
VERIFY — Before You Pay
Stop. Check. Then decide.
About to send money, pay a deposit, accept a job offer, trust an online seller or respond to a suspicious message?
Upload the screenshot, URL, listing, email, invoice or conversation. VERIFY examines the available evidence before you pay, share credentials, install software or send personal documents.
It does not simply call something “safe” or “a scam.” It separates:
- Verified facts
- Risk signals
- Important unknowns
What you receive
Every assessment includes:
- An explainable 0–100 risk index
- A clear risk band: Low, Caution, Elevated, High or Critical
- A confidence level based on the evidence available
- A direct verdict and the most urgent action
- The strongest verified facts
- Evidence-linked warning signs
- Important facts that could not be verified
- A “What could I lose?” exposure analysis
- Three prioritized next actions
- Independent verification routes
- Direct sources when live public research is available
The risk index is a triage tool, not a statistical probability or a guarantee.
Seven assessment modes
🛒 BUY
Products, services, courses, tickets and marketplace listings.
VERIFY checks seller and payment inconsistencies, unusual prices, copied information, off-platform requests and the level of payment protection.
💸 PAY
Invoices, refunds, fees, bank requests, courier messages and payment instructions.
VERIFY compares the claimed organization, sender, recipient, payment method and independently sourced official channels.
💼 JOB
Recruiter messages, employment offers, freelance opportunities and task-based jobs.
VERIFY looks for advance fees, suspicious domains, fake recruitment processes, equipment-payment schemes and requests for excessive personal information.
🏠 RENT
Rental listings, landlords, agencies and deposit requests.
VERIFY examines listing duplication, identity inconsistencies, payment before viewing, recipient details and independently verifiable property or agency information.
❤️ PERSON
Requests involving someone met online, family impersonation or relationship-based pressure.
VERIFY focuses on money requests, secrecy, escalating emergencies, document requests and contradictions without attempting to identify, expose or track private individuals.
📩 MESSAGE
Suspicious emails, SMS messages, WhatsApp conversations, social-media messages, links and QR codes.
VERIFY examines sender information, destination domains, urgency, impersonation patterns and the safest independent route to contact the claimed organization.
🚨 RECOVERY
For users who have already paid, shared credentials, sent documents or installed remote-access software.
VERIFY creates a time-ordered response plan covering:
- Stopping additional losses
- Contacting banks or payment providers
- Securing email and financial accounts
- Preserving evidence
- Protecting devices and phone numbers
- Using official reporting channels
- Recognizing fraudulent “money recovery” services
Recovery is never guaranteed.
What could I lose?
VERIFY considers more than the immediate payment:
| Exposure | What is assessed |
|---|---|
| Money | Amount at risk and likely payment reversibility |
| Accounts | Email, social-media and financial access |
| Identity | Documents and personal-information exposure |
| Device | Malware or remote-access risk |
| Personal safety | Threats, coercion, extortion or stalking concerns |
How to use VERIFY
- Upload or paste the suspicious material.
- Redact passwords, PINs, authentication codes, full financial details and document numbers.
- Explain what the other party wants you to pay, share, install or do.
- Receive the assessment before taking further action.
If essential evidence is missing, VERIFY asks no more than three focused questions before producing a preliminary assessment.
Example
Input
A landlord says they are abroad and wants a €700 bank transfer before I can view the apartment. Here is the listing and our WhatsApp conversation.
Output excerpt
Risk index: 78/100 — High risk
Verdict: Pause. Do not send the deposit until the property and payment recipient have been independently verified.Strongest signals: payment before viewing, recipient identity not matched to a verified owner or agency, inconsistent listing information and refusal to use a protected platform.
Evidence standards
When live public-source research is available, VERIFY prioritizes:
- Official company and government websites
- Business and professional registers
- Regulator and consumer-protection alerts
- Official careers pages
- ICANN or RDAP domain information
- Official platform safety pages
- Independently sourced contact details
Reviews and spelling mistakes are never treated as proof by themselves.
When live research is unavailable, VERIFY clearly identifies which checks were not performed and explains how to complete them independently.
Safety and privacy boundaries
VERIFY does not:
- Identify people from photographs
- Track locations or perform surveillance
- Expose private personal information
- Contact or confront the suspected party
- Execute payments or transactions
- Request authentication codes or passwords
- Guarantee that money will be recovered
- Declare a person or company criminal without authoritative proof
- Replace a lawyer, financial adviser, bank, police authority or qualified professional
If the situation involves immediate physical danger, threats, coercion or extortion, contact local emergency services or police through independently verified official channels.
